Indigenous Plant Practitioners Jenny & Darcy Fisher

Join Jenny and Darcy Fisher for a seasonal, land-based workshop rooted in Indigenous plant knowledge, cultural connection, and ancestral practice. This experience invites you to learn in circle—through hands-on medicine-making, plant harvesting, storytelling, and food sharing.

What You’ll Experience

Foraging and Infusion
You’ll learn to identify and respectfully harvest seasonal plants with traditional significance and medicinal use. We’ll walk together on the land and guide you through the process of making infused herbal oils—an offering that blends observation, care, and ancestral knowledge.

Salve Making by Hand
Using your prepared oil, you’ll create a healing salve using beeswax and time-honored techniques. You’ll leave with a jar of your own handmade medicine, grounded in land-based practice and the story of the day.

Shared Meal on the Land
We’ll serve a nourishing meal featuring elk, venison, bison, or salmon (based on availability), with fresh greens, bannock or bread, traditional condiments, and a dessert featuring seasonal wild fruit like huckleberry or chokecherry.
Some vegan options may be available. Please inform us of allergies or dietary needs during registration.

Seasonal Teachings + Reflection Circle
We’ll close in circle with stories, teachings, and reflections rooted in Indigenous Ecological Knowledge. These circles are a space to connect to the land, to self, and to one another through the seasonal cycles and the knowledge passed down through generations.
