Keepers of the Seasons Academy

Medicine Returning.
Knowledge Staying.
Community Growing.

A land-based learning institution where interrupted ancestral knowledge returns through seasonal practice, nourishment, plant medicine, tallow, formulation, food, ceremony, and community capacity building.

Why This Moment Matters
The knowledge was interrupted, but not erased.

It went quiet for a generation. The systems built to break the transmission did real damage, and we will not pretend otherwise. But this is not a story about what was taken. It is a story about what we went and got back.

We are not the unbroken keepers of a perfect lineage. We sought what was buried, pieced it together from Elders and from the land itself, and built a living practice from it, because we refused to be the generation with nothing left to pass forward. The interruption is over. The carrying forward has begun, and this Academy is how it travels.

What We Teach
Plant medicine. Tallow. Soap, salve, and lotion. Food and preservation. Cleansing. Sovereignty.

Every domain taught from the raw material up. From scratch, the way it was always done, with the science named alongside the medicine.

The Academy Experiences

The Body of Work

Each experience stands on its own. Together they form a complete arc.
I
Tallow & Plant Medicine
Rendering, soap, salve, lotion, cleansing practices, and the science beneath the medicine. The hands learn to make.
II
Rooted Renewal
The body as the site of healing. Ancestral body care, hair, water, and mineral practice from the outside in and the inside out.
III
Gather & Preserve
Seasonal harvesting, drying, rendering, pemmican, fermentation, and the pit cook. Food sovereignty as the foundation of every other.
IV
The Five Sovereignties
Everything named, placed, and integrated. Food, health, mental, emotional, and spiritual sovereignty carried forward as a living practice.
V
Walking Through the Seasons
The written record. A living archive of ceremony, territory, and the plants that remember us. Sixty-six plant profiles, distributed internationally.
How Learning Happens
Through hands, land, food, story, body, spirit, repetition, and relationship.

Nothing here is learned from a lecture. It is learned by doing, slowly, together, until it lives in the body and can be passed to the next person.

What Stays With Community
Equipment. Recipes. Skills. Confidence. Memory. Capacity.

We come as relatives and we leave when the knowledge is yours. The equipment stays. The recipes and reference guides stay. The skill to keep making, the confidence to do it without us, and the foundation to teach the next person all stay. What happens after we drive home belongs entirely to the community.

Who This Is For
We are calling people home. Whoever it is calling.

This is ancestral knowledge, ancestral to this land, and we do not check where you come from at the door. Blood memory survived in more vessels than anyone planned. The ones who find their way here are the ones it was already speaking to. Whatever you look like, if it is calling you home, you are the light that shines in this Academy.

Who We Are
Darcy and Jenny Fisher
Knowledge Carriers · Formulators · Educators · Authors · Builders

Over fifty years of combined knowledge gathering alongside Elders and community members. Professional formulation training. Published authors of Walking Through the Seasons. Builders of a living practice that grew from a salve in a kitchen pot to a full body of work taught, written, formulated, and carried across the continent. The people who receive what we make are, more often than not, family. Blood and extended. That is not a line. That is just what is true.
