There is a window in early spring when the cottonwood buds swell with resin and the birch trees begin to move. It does not last long. We work in that window.

First Thaw is a cold process bar built from that moment. Solar infused cottonwood bud oil, birch water drawn from the land, extra virgin olive oil, cocoa butter, and coconut oil. Poured in small batches. Cut by hand. Cured on the rack until it's ready.

When this batch is gone it's gone. The land decides when the next one happens.

Everyone uses soap. This one carries the season it came from.
